Kenya mission: building digital access together

Listening to local communities

From 2 to 7 April 2025, Fausta Ciammaricone represented Xera on a mission to Nairobi, Mombasa and schools near Tsavo East. For Kenya and Slamrise supported the meetings with local communities.

Technology for training

In Mathare, the groundwork was laid for a computer lab. In Mombasa, an earlier computer donation was already enabling young people to attend courses and communicate with their families. Customs difficulties, however, delayed the delivery of other equipment.

The next steps

The report outlines an operational phase focused on equipment, digital content and training programmes. The project combines IT education with environmental initiatives, to be developed around the needs expressed by local communities.
