Weeko's premises at Centro Ibisco in Città Sant’Angelo lack adequate public transport connections. Young team members who do not have a driving licence depend on their families to get to work every day.
In the past, a young participant had to leave the programme because his family could no longer provide transport. We do not want that to happen again.
Our €80,000 goal covers the purchase of the vehicle and the costs directly associated with putting it into service: registration, on-the-road costs and launching the transport service.
We want to buy an electric Volkswagen ID. Buzz to provide free transport to and from work for the young people involved in the project. The vehicle can also be used for training activities, events and social initiatives.
Inclusion and sustainability are part of the same vision for the future. We have already installed six charging points and a photovoltaic system at our premises. An electric vehicle supports this choice, while keeping access to employment at the heart of the project.
Weeko is a Social Enterprise combining IT equipment recovery with inclusive employment. Neurodivergent young people work in our team, supported by dedicated tutors. We want to offer more people an environment where they can develop skills, independence and confidence.
