The History of Week
Weeko was initially born as a trademark of Xera that certifies the technological products refurbished, ensuring that each device has followed a structured process of recovery, consisting of cleaning, repair, functional verification and safe deletion of data.
With time, however, in the face of the growing production of waste from electrical and electronic equipment (RAEE) and the consequent environmental impact, Xera chooses to go beyond the simple reconditioning.
This is why a programme aimed at reducing waste and recovering as many devices, components and raw materials as possible, with the aim of promoting a concrete model of circular economy. From this vision, Weeko evolves into an ecosystem of social, educational and research and development projects, inspired by the principles of UN Agenda 2030.
Progressively, the social impact becomes the heart of the project, transforming technology into a tool capable of generating opportunities for people and concrete benefits for the environment. In fact, in 2026, Weeko becomes Social Enterprise. Today it represents a reality in which young people with neurodivergencies are involved and valued in the different stages of the process of recovery of computer goods.
Mission
We transform IT assets into new opportunities for people, businesses and the environment.
Through a responsible process and oriented to the circular economy, we value the resources still usable, we reduce waste and contribute to giving a new perspective to technologies that still have value.
A concrete approach that combines innovation, sustainability and responsibility, generating benefits for businesses, communities and the future of our planet.
Vision
We contribute to the construction of a circular economy model capable of generating environmental, economic and social value, promoting a more conscious and responsible use of technological resources.
Through the valorisation of computer goods at the end of use, we reduce waste, we promote the extension of the life cycle of equipment and limit the environmental impact linked to production and disposal.
A concrete approach that transforms existing resources into new opportunities, creating benefits for companies, for people and for the territory.
